I finally got around to looking at the huge, 185-page opinion in this U.S. Supreme Court case on the Guantanamo detainees. I'm sharing my bare-bones notes from reading the Syllabus of that case:It is not evident why the danger posed by international terrorism, considerable though it is, should require, in the case of Hamdan’s trial, any variance from the courts-martial rules.
